Our Vision

Founded in 1987, TESOL has been serving the international community of Lubumbashi for over three decades.

Kindergarten through Grade 12

We offer education in English for students from Kindergarten (age 5) through to Grade 12.

For children for whom English is new, TESOL UMC offers an extra one year intensive English learning course to learn to speak, read and write standard English.

The school year runs September through June with three terms: September - December, January through March, and April - June.

Our Mission

We pursue our vision from a Biblical base by aiming:

Excellence in teaching: By the grace of God, which brings salvation to all and is the source of all wisdom
Excellence in learning: To nurture all in our community for growth in every domain of their lives
Excellence in serving: To teach, model and encourage giving to and for others, for the glory of God

"Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ" — Colossians 1:28
